Jack S. Levy
Israel Cleantech Ventures

Jack is a partner at Israel Cleantech Ventures, the first venture capital fund dedicated to investing in Israel’s emerging clean technology companies. Established in 2006, ICV’s first fund has $75 million under management and, to date, has completed nine investments across diverse cleantech sectors, including water, alternative energy generation, energy storage storage, energy efficiency and transportation.

Jack has led ICV’s water related investments in AqWise and Emefcy; he sits on their boards as well as on the board of Scodix.

Prior to founding ICV, Jack was Vice President and General Counsel of Register.com, where he played a central role in the company’s IPO. He also served as a corporate attorney for Tulchinsky Stern in Tel Aviv and began his career with Wilkie Farr & Gallagher in New York.

Jack holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School where he was a Stone Scholar and a B.A., magna cum laude from Harvard College.

Astorre Modena
Terra Venture Partners

Astorre Modena is the Founder and General Partner of Terra Venture Partners, leading early-stage Cleantech VC in Israel. Before founding Terra, Astorre was a Principal at Israel Seed Partners, a leading seed-stage venture capital in Israel with more than $260 million under management. Until recently, Astorre was an active key investor in the establishment of Cellint, a new cellular startup that is growing rapidly. Prior to Israel Seed, Astorre was with McKinsey & Co., based in Paris, where he consulted to leading Italian, French and Israeli manufacturing and financial corporations.

Astorre holds a B.Sc. in Physics and Outstanding Students Program ("Amirim") from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Imperial College in London.

Booky Oren
Miya

Mr. Oren serves as the President and CEO of Miya, an Arison Group Company Since 2006. Arison Investments is a leading investment company that operates in the global business arena, focusing on sustainability. As of December 31, 2007 the company manages an investment portfolio worth $2 billion.

Miya is set to become a global leader in the development and supply of dedicated solutions for water efficiency in municipal distribution systems.

Mr. Oren has over 24 years of experience in various managerial roles in a wide variety of companies, ranging from start-ups to multi-nationals, both private and public, in a broad variety of domains, including consumer goods, B2B, finance, high-tech and the water industry.

In the water arena, Mr. Oren served as the Corporate VP for Business Development at Netafim, the largest micro-irrigation company in the world.

Between 2003 and 2006 Mr. Oren was the Chairman of Mekorot, Israel’s National Water Company. In his public role Mr. Oren has made a major contribution in shaping Israel's leadership in water technologies, and he currently serves as the chairman of WATEC Israel 2009 – a leading event in the Global water technology industry.
