winners of the Most Promising Presenter and Pioneer Award, which were presented at the

Cleantech Venture Forum X in London, England.

The corecipients of the Pioneer Award were Claude Fussler, advisor to the United Nations
-
Global Compact, and Reto Ringger, CEO of SAM Group. The Pioneer Award recognizes
-
individuals who have contributed to the growth of cleantech venturing over a long period of time.

The recipient of the Most Promising Presenter was Adam de Sola Pool, partner and chief
-
investment officer for Environmental Investment Partners (EIP). The Most Promising Presenter
-
honor is given to the company that represents the greatest venture investment opportunity at each
-
Cleantech Venture Forum, which is held three times per year.

Panel of the EDF Group and the board director of the Holcim Foundation for Sustainable

Construction in Zurich. He is an expert in business innovation and issue management with a focus

on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility.

Reto Ringger is founder and CEO of the SAM Group, Sustainable Asset Management, an

internationally recognized, independent asset management group exclusively specializing in the

provision of sustainability investment products and services for institutional and private investors.

SAM has fully integrated sustainability criteria in the investment process and valuation of

equities, including private equity.

- Adam de Sola Pool is a partner and chief investment officer for EIP, and has been since 1998. He

previously worked for the Industrial Bank of Japan, The European Bank for Reconstruction and

Development and was an investment banker for Salomon Brothers. He is a graduate of the

University of Chicago and Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of

Management.
