Silicon Valley Bank is presenting a forum with the Department of Energy, Export-Import Bank and California State representatives on the intersection of policy and financing for cleantech companies in the U.S.

A centerpiece of the event is a panel discussion on state policy and its vision for cleantech that is to feature the Cleantech Group's John Balbach.

The panel will explore

  • What are the challenges in implementing policy to support cleantech?
  • What is the State doing to support the creation of mandated markets and incentives to increase opportunity?
  • What are policymakers doing to build direct demand by making the state itself a better cleantech customer?
  • We’ve heard it said that how policy is implemented is as important as what is implemented. How are policymakers ensuring consistency in the way public policy is implemented?
