The clean technology program of the MIT club of Northern California presents "Global Players: What does it mean to be green?" at the Google campus in Mountain View, California.

Four leading companies from different industry sectors are to discuss their responsibility to protect the environment and how environmental protection and sustainability influence their business decisions and investor relations. They will address issues such as:

  • What measures are leading companies taking to be more environmentally friendly?
  • What are the advantages to the early movers who adapt to these opportunities?
  • What are the companies' expectations towards suppliers and partners?
  • What is the trade off between protection of the environment and profitable business?
  • What are the hazards for businesses which lag in adaptation of sustainable business practices?
  • What considerations will shape sustainable enterprises throughout the 21st century?
