EEStor's ultracapacitor technology will be bought up by some oil company. The ultracapacitor will then be put on a shelf and never used. Aint capitalism great

If Eestor works, and some oil company buys it, and no one ever uses it, then it's AL GORE's fault. He's on the board of Kleiner Perkins, who own an interest in it. And so is Colin Powell on the board. No we know who to blame.

"EEStor's ultracapacitor technology will be bought up by some oil company. The ultracapacitor will then be put on a shelf and never used. Aint capitalism great!"
I don't think so, not so much. Ten years ago, when things were more about money, yes, perhaps. But in today's world, the environment is a much bigger issue. Big Oil has a REALLY bad name now and the middle east ain't getting any more stable. It's my feeling that the guys who are working EESTOR are pretty far sighted. They have the Next Big Thing by the tail and they know it. I think they know it from experience because their last big thing was the PC hard drive. We all know what a flop THAT turned out to be!

Why go through all the development and pre production to sell the technology to oil companies? There is surely more money to be made in marketing such a technology. Its not only the auto and oil companies. The far reaching applications are mind boggling, electronics, aerospace, the electrical nets, renewable energy storage, for the first time electricity could be shipped to consumers by truck or container. This could or will be the paradigm shift we are waiting for to radically change the globe and the way energy is viewed.

ultracapacitors, and the other guys are already
using them in prototypes. Pretty soon, EESTOR
will be dragging up the rear...and their partner?
ZENN? what a joke. If you can't lure a better
partner than that, it tells me something about
YOU.

I don't see any reason to deprecate ZENN's commercial capability, when it has already landed several commercial clients for its first-gen vehicles. Lazy thinker. Next time, at least do some research.
We have had enough of the 'hype management'. Eestor needs to deliver, the longer it takes the more skeptical everyone will become. Right now it seems like fuel cells, right around the corner-forever. Like tomorrow it never gets here.

It's been a year since this interview with Dick Weir. Nothing has changes. The same old wait till end of year BS.
This EESCAM hype can be easily settled. Enough of the press release, speculation, and news reports.
MR. DICK WEIR, DELIVER A PROTOTYPE OF THE CERAMIC BATTERY WHICH YOU HAVE PUBLICLY STATED HAS BEEN, BUILT, TESTED, AND CERTIFIED TO AN INDEPENDENT REPUTABLE INSTITUTION FOR VERIFICATION. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SINCE 2001 FOR THIS CERAMIC BATTERY.

If "big-oil" tries to squelch EESTOR, there will be a revolt like they have not seen. Al Gore and Colin Powell on the Board? They have GOTTA move EESTOR forward.
I'll be in line for the production EESTOR powered CityZENN.

If "Megacorp" tried to buy EEStor, they would have to buy it direct since it is not traded on the stock market. "Megacorp" would have to intimidate or bribe the main investors in EEStor; "Smith,Kleiener Perkins", "Lockheed Martin"' and Zenn I doubt "Megacorp" could buy any of those three. The first two are just too big. If you do some research on Zenn you will find that Zenn has adopted a "poison pill" strategy to prevent a hostile takeover. ZENN is tiny at about $25 million. The poison pill manoeuver would inflate that cost several thousand times. If "Megacorp" did succeed in buying EEStor, ZENN would still retain the exclusive marketing rights for passenger cars and "Megacorp" could not refuse to produce the capacitors. Other companies that are also working on capacitors will be the first to buy EEStor patent licences unless they know that their own devices are better.
Lastly, taking President Obama at his word, he wants to get the USA off of foreign oil. That can only be done by switching to sustainable biofuels, renewable electricity generation and electric cars. All renewable electricity generation fails without a huge, reliable, efficient storage medium i.e. the ultracapacitor. All electric cars need a similar "battery" to compete with the internal combustion engine.
I too, am impatient for the ultracapacitor, but it will change the world, so brace yourselves. There is an ancient chinese curse; " may you live in interesting times" The next few decades will not be boring.

As the skeptics would have us believe that EEStor is a scam all I can say is that this is an incredibly complicated setup, there would be no winners if this scenario were it true as Dick Weir would be jailed for a long time along with any accomplices. You don't mess with with big business to the tune of millions of dollers and get away with it, that's just asking for a barrel load of trouble.
An open mind is needed here as new ground breaking technology does not have any books to tell how to overcome the next problem, even worse is pushing the whole process to meet a deadline, (I've been in development for many years and deadlines are one of two major reasons for project failure), so patience people if past record is anything to go by EEStor will take there own time and maybe by November/December/January there will be another press release on energy density, maybe!

I followed for a while KFX which changed it's name to EEE which it is still listed as. They were a similar scam company and raised many millions for their coal drying process which proved not much good. No one went to jail or was punished, the founders got rich and the investors lost a bundle. I suspect eestore will go the same way - they will raise loads of money the founders will get fat bank accounts and then oops the eestore capacitor will prove not terribly good. Such is the American way.

I am not experienced in the ways of business or business ethics, but from my naive perspective, it seems rather unbelievable that Eestor and Zenn are just leading us on about the capabilities of Eestor's ultracapacitor. What does Zenn have to gain but a short term rise in their stock value, which would be crushed if Eestor fails to deliver.
