Unregistered user #1 up above, are you KIDDING me? These sources aren't good because they're not available 24-7? That's like saying your Internet provider doesn't work because your connection goes down sometimes, or that no one should have cell phones because there are areas where calls get dropped or just won't connect. Sure, some combination of technologies is necessary to make PV and Solar Thermal viable, but to discount it completely is just an amazing perspective. I was fascinated to actually read a comment from someone of your opinion.
