Our company has been seeking funding for the last two years to build a Verticle Integrated Cellulosic Biorefinery in California.
What I have experienced is no matter how incredible, cost effective and visionary your plan even if you are using a non-consumable cellulosic product it is impossible to get funding.
We have submitted over 500 proposals to compnies listed at NREL and have not received $1. So when I see Sail Venture Partners stating they are looking for a company with new technology, I find it ironic when they have received information on our new tecnology for a cellulosic plant and we did not even get as much as an email from them.
Cleantech I have been a supporter of your site since the beginning, but my tolerance is low for these companies who mouth off and don't do anything. My suggestion is that you perform due diligence and make sure they have credible backgrounds in funding before you spotlight them.
