Joined Marine Department of ITOCHU Corporation in 1992 after university.  Since then, working in marine business mainly newbuilding projects (including time as London representative from 2005 to 2010). In 2011, assigned as Manager of Marine Section No. 3 for investment of LNG Carriers and off-shore. In 2019, assigned as Deputy General Manager mainly for development of new business such as decarbonisation and then, new assignment as Project Leader of integrated project for development of NH3 fuel ship with fuel supply chain from April 1, 2021

Benny Au

Mr. Benny Au started his career as a building services engineer. He then shifted his career path to environmental discipline. He worked with consultant, contractor and property management companies before which provided him the knowledge on building construction and operation in regarding to the sustainability aspects throughout the building life cycle. Mr. Au is now working with Swire Properties as a Sustainable Development Manager, responsible on enhancing the company’s building sustainability performance. Mr. Au has also been heavily involved in the establishment of a Hong Kong based green building assessment tool called: “BEAM Plus” since 2009.

Saurabh Bajaj

Myrna Bittner

Myrna Bittner is the CEO and Co-Founder of RWI Synthetics, an AI-based modelling company that creates Single Synthetic Environments – live, geospatially accurate cities or regions, complete with their people, activity, policies, infrastructure, energy and mobility to calculate the impacts of all kinds of investments and scenarios under any conceivable scenarios. The technology of RWI originates from a previous venture of Myrna’s in the ‘90s, NeuralVR, a neural net and 3D visualization research company focused on organizing, aggregating, and visualizing unstructured documents. In 2020, Myrna and her team were a part of the Incubatenergy® Labs Challenge, creating a POC of a dual-disaster for EPRI and Phoenix-based utility, Salt River Projects. Building on this, in 2021, EPRI and RWI partnered on a project showcased at AFWERX, reimagining energy for the USAF with Synthetic Bases. RWI is also a current finalist in the City Architecture of Tomorrow Challenge with the Toyota Mobility Foundation in Kuala Lumpur and has been Certified as a 2021 SET100, top 100 global companies in energy transition and mobility.

Susan Blanchet

Origen Air’s resident lawyer turned Benefit Corp CEO, Susan co-founded Origen Air early in 2019 with Andrew Crawford to bring nature back indoors providing health, wellness, safety, sustainability, and revenue. Her 14 years experience leading litigation teams and high-stakes negotiations, while also running a real estate company and coaching provincial soccer teams provided the necessary skills to run a fast-paced growing Cleantech Startup. Over the last 12 months adding a co-founder/head of software development, growing the team from two to 17, and raising over $1,000,000 in equity/non-dilutive funding. In Q2, 2021 Origen’s team is launching their first product the Sentinel; an autonomous, plant-based, zero waste, commercial air purification system.

Louis Brasington

Philip Brennan

Philip has 30 years of business development, marketing and sales management experience with Fortune 100 companies and entrepreneurial start-ups. He was the youngest recipient of Georgetown University’s Graduate Fellowship for the Masters in Business Administration, entering the program at 22 years old. He has led and managed a variety of businesses, ranging from $300 million consumer businesses, to emerging start-ups. Over his career Phil has conceived, developed, and launched over 100 new products in the energy, plastics, nutraceuticals, food and packaged goods industries, and has raised grants and financing in excess of $100 million while preparing companies for the next stage of venture funding. He has held senior and executive management positions in operations, finance, manufacturing, sales and general management for companies Pfizer, Warner Lambert and Rubbermaid, founded and has been leading the Echogen team for over 14 years.

Carrie is a seasoned business executive with a passion for the environment, particularly the impact of our food supply on the planet. Her expertise is in general management and project delivery. She managed major real estate developments from ground zero to full operation.  At Avant Meats, Carrie provides the vision, guides the strategy and supervises the implementation.

Avant Meats is a biotechnology company with patent-pending solutions that enable businesses to produce animal meat and protein without raising or catching and slaughtering the animal.  The Company’s pilot products are fish meat and marine proteins.  Thanks to our technology, we customise the nutritional profile of our cultivated fish meat while keeping them free from heavy metals, microplastics, radioactive contaminants, parasites, and antibiotics.

Sau Sheong Chang

Sau Sheong leads a team of software engineers, architects, data scientists and user experience designers in SPGroup. His team builds new digital products for a spectrum of internal and external users including residential, commercial, partners as well as the public at large.

In his 23 years of industry experience, he has lead similar engineering teams at PayPal, Yahoo and HP in building software products. He was previously a co-founder in a software company and was involved in startups for more than 10 years.

Sau Sheong runs the GopherCon Singapore, the largest community-led Go programming language conference in Southeast Asia. He is also active and contributes to many other technology communities in Singapore and Southeast Asia. He has written 4 programming and technology-related books.

Sau Sheong has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, a Masters in Commercial Law and is a certified arbitrator in Singapore.

Sunita Darbe

Sunita Darbe is Manager of Spiber’s newly created Sustainability Section. The Section drives Spiber’s sustainability strategy elaboration, life cycle assessment, responsible sourcing program and renewable energy procurement among others. 

Before transitioning to sustainability, Sunita spent four years in materials R&D at Spiber. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics and Materials Science from the California Institute of Technology. 

Anthony DeOrsey

Anthony manages Cleantech Group’s research team, delivering critical insights on new cleantech innovation and opportunities for engagement to Cleantech Group’s clients in the industrial, investment, and policy communities. He is based in the U.S.

Anthony joined Cleantech Group in late 2019 after over 8 years of work in US-China cross-border expansion consulting and start-up venture funding roles, including 5 years living in Shanghai.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from University of Rhode Island, a Masters in Sustainability from the Harvard Extension School, and he an MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

With over 20 years of domain industry experience in supply chain technology across multiple roles ranging from Technology Executive & Strategy Consulting at MNCs, CEO at a Supply Chain tech firm, to exiting a start-up he co-founded, Marc brings to the table an understanding of the industry, deep technologies, as well as dynamics of building a start-up.

Mr. Fu Ferngjiang is the co-founder and CEO of 3E Memtech, a Singapore-based startup. He is an engineering specialist in commercial membrane manufacturing. He also has vast experience in membrane applications in water and wastewater treatment.

Kenrick Fernandez

Kenrick is the Pacific Leader for Honeywell Advanced Sensing Technologies. He is based in Sydney, Australia and has worked in a wide range of industries like Medical, Industrial, Automotive, Transportation, Defence and Aerospace. Under his leadership, the ANZ business for Honeywell was doubled in a year.

At Honeywell he plays a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic by working closely with a few of the leading ventilator manufactures to develop and supply lifesaving sensors. He is also driving  environment friendly initiatives with the help of Honeywell products like allergen detection devices ( New product Introduction), Hydrogen and other critical gas detection sensors to help provide a healthy working environment.

Mirte Gosker

Mirte Gosker leads GFI Asia Pacific as Acting MD, accelerating the markets for fermentation, plant-based and cultivated meat, egg and dairy through research and innovation. She lives in Singapore, the first country in the world to approve the sales of a cultivated meat product. Prior to GFI, she worked as a management consultant to startups, and as a researcher in humanitarian logistics. She brings experience in startups, international development and philanthropy. Mirte holds a MA in International Development from Wageningen University. Afnan Hannan has a clear vision of energy access delivering opportunities to the 800M people across the globe without power. In 2016 he Co-founded Okra Solar. He has 7 years of experience in sustainable energy and holds degrees in Economics and Engineering, majoring in renewable energy systems. Afnan began his career in the energy efficiency and building automation industries. He has since won numerous awards on behalf of Okra, including the Techcrunch battlefield award and the Innovations Against Poverty grant. In 2018 and 2019 Afnan was an invited contributor at the World Economic Forum, showcasing Okras innovative method of achieving rapid last-mile electrification using IoT and automation of solar-powered “mesh-grids”.

Thomas Hansen

Thomas is the Commercial Lead at Mint Innovation, a New Zealand based cleantech company focused on unlocking the resources of the future. He has always been passionate about understanding how things work and making them perform better. After studying Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London, Thomas spent his early career in management consulting, helping some of the world’s largest companies with their industrial strategy. He is busy using this experience to make Mint a globally significant company in its own right, with a focus on creating the efficient value chain need to make circular solutions successful.

Ian Hayton

Ian is a Senior Associate leading Materials & Chemical research at Cleantech Group and is based in the UK. He is an engineering and business professional with a passion for technology, innovation and the environment. Ian is experienced in strategy, marketing, business support, and R&D activities​.

Prior to joining Cleantech Group, Ian held several roles at Exergy, including Business Process Improvement Manager, Chemical Process Engineer, and Chemical Research Engineer.  ​

Ian earned an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester​ and a BSc in Biomedical Science from The University of Sheffield.

Tyler Holland

Mr. Holland is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of En-trak. He has overseen the development of the company’s award-winning energy management platform, En-trak Energy, as well as their latest Smart Office solution based on advanced lighting and aircon controls. He currently oversees the operations and product development teams at En-trak.

Mr. Holland graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology.

Prior to founding En-trak, he worked in both Hong Kong and mainland China on photovoltaic solar projects, from procurement and due diligence to design and installation.

Nilesh Jadhav

Nilesh Y. Jadhav is a passionate clean energy technopreneur, with more than 2 decades of experience in the field. He is a published author, scientist, entrepreneur, thought leader, professional trainer and educator.  He is the co-founder and CEO of BtrLyf-digital built environment ecosystem platform at Qi Square, a spin-off company of the Nanyang Technological University (NTU, Singapore). Prior to staring Qi Square, he worked as a Senior Scientist and Program Director at the NTU EcoCampus initiative. This initiative created an active innovation living laboratory at the NTU campus anchoring more than 20 corporates and taking the campus to the heights of sustainability with 35% energy, water and waste reduction. He has been actively involved in clean energy policy development through participation in projects such as Singapore’s Energy roadmaps with NCCS and sitting on boards of government and semi-government institutions such as the Sustainable Energy Association (SEAS) and Singapore Green Building Council (SGBC).

Craig Jamieson

Craig Jamieson originally trained in horticulture and has a master’s degree in International Rural Development with ‘Distinction’. He has worked in business management, consultancy and also scientific research, specializing in sustainable biofuels and bioenergy. His work has taken him across Africa and Asia developing bioenergy solutions that enhance rather than compete with food production. His clients have included the UK Government, UN FAO, World Agroforestry and the International Rice Research Institute.

In 2016 with support from the UK Government, Craig established an industrial pilot plant making clean fuel from waste rice straw. Straw Innovations Ltd was born and he is now preparing to take it to first commercial scale in the Philippines.

Dustin Jefferson S. Onghanseng

Dustin Jefferson S. Onghanseng is the Co-Founder and CEO of uHoo, a Singapore-based global environmental health platform.

Prior to starting uHoo in 2014, Dustin worked as a Senior Consultant with Deloitte where among his many successful strategic initiatives he developed a corporate strategy that helped turnaround Deloitte South East Asia to profitability and grew revenue by 20% annually for 2 consecutive years, improved business processes of various Fortune 500 and large local companies that resulted on average, a 10% reduction in workflow time and enhanced corporate governance and regulatory compliance. He advised life sciences and healthcare firms in the USA, Singapore and Malaysia and helped them raise 8-figure US$ rounds for further growth. Dustin also worked as an Analyst for BDO Raffles Consultants where he was responsible for developing an overseas market entry strategy that resulted in the successful overseas expansion of a Taiwanese-listed manufacturing firm into India.

Born and raised in the Philippines, he finished a Bachelor’s of Computing majoring in eCommerce, plus two minors, at the National University of Singapore (NUS) under full scholarship by the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA). He completed an MBA specializing in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from The Hongkong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) where he met his co-founder Brian Lin. Both eventually dropped their classes in the middle of the MBA program and launched uHoo.

Tomoyuki Koide

Tomoyuki Koide is Marketing Section Leader at Tsubame BHB Co., Ltd.  He is currently in charge of business development, market research, product development, sales and procurement of Tsubame BHB’s onsite ammonia production system and catalyst.  Tsubame BHB’s electride catalyst has confirmed good activity at their pilot plant and also catalyst manufacturing method is established, then he is promoting small scale onsite ammonia production system as a commercial plant.

Before joining Tsubame BHB, he has an experience of ammonia plant’s process engineering and commissioning in EPC company. And also, he experienced to work in chemical company as a sales and supply chain of chemical products. 

He holds Master degree of chemical engineering at Waseda University. 

Avishek Kumar

Dr Avishek is co-founder and CEO of V-Flow Tech Pte Ltd. V-Flow Tech (VFT) is a spin-off from Nanyang Technology University in Singapore, capitalizing on 7 years of research to address key issues faced by flow batteries. VFT is reinventing vanadium redox flow technology, with a vision to develop the cheapest and most scalable vanadium redox flow batteries in the world.

Avishek holds MS degree in Microelectronics from Technical University of Munich, Germany and a Doctorate degree (PhD) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from National University of Singapore. Avishek has deep background in manufacturing and detailed domain knowledge of renewable energy industry.  Dr Avishek was one of the chief architects for developing high efficiency PERC Mono modules and has played key role in the commercialization of Half cut PERC Mono module for REC solar. He is actively involved in consultation and development of solar plus energy storage projects across the region and has contributed to over 600 MW of renewable energy projects in the region.

As Investment Director at EcoLabs, Charles leads the execution of EcoLabs’ greater venture capital strategy, which includes sourcing investment opportunities, managing portfolio companies, and driving co-innovation within privately managed funds.

Before joining EcoLabs, Charles worked within privately managed funds. As Managing Director of the Oman Technology Fund in MENA, a USD 150mm venture capital fund, he assisted in the capital raise of the fund and as a direct investor to start-ups. Charles was also Investment Director of Red Dot Ventures in ASEAN, a USD 20mm venture capital fund, where he worked alongside governments and participated as a direct investor.

Robert, the Co-founder and CEO of Mi Terro, is a three-time entrepreneur. He has many years of experience in marketing and sales. Stefano Mazzoni

Dr. Stefano Mazzoni works as Senior Researcher at Erian/NTU and is co-founder and CTO of ‘Energy Smart Solutions’ start-up company. He has consistent expertise in the optimization of power plants and multi-energy systems, and developed the ©E-OPT software to support the necessary models and calculations. Stefano is providing consulting services for companies such as SHELL and the Italian Authorities for Green Market Certifications. Prior to coming in Singapore, Stefano worked in European R&D projects and as professor in Roma University for two years. He took his Ph.D. in Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the Roma Tre University in 2014.

Lynn McDonald

Lynn McDonald (BA, Trinity College, University of Toronto; LL.B, University of Toronto) joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in 1996.

After working in both the Legal and Trade Policy Bureaux of DFAIT from 1996-1999, she took up a position as Legal Advisor to Canada’s Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland from 1999-2002.

From 2005-2009, she served as Counsellor and Head of the Trade Policy Section at the Embassy of Canada in Washington, D.C., USA.

Ms. McDonald was Director of the Intellectual Property Trade Policy Division at Global Affairs Canada headquarters from 2011-2014.

In 2014, she became Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada in Hong Kong and Macao.

Ms. McDonald was appointed as High Commissioner to Singapore in 2016.

She is married to Bernard Li, and they have two children.

Julien Mialaret

Julien is an Operating Partner at Eurazeo, a global investor in technology with offices in Paris, London, Berlin, NY, Shanghai, Seoul and Singapore. Eurazeo is currently the largest venture capital firm in continental Europe and active in Asia with approximately €3.6 bn in venture and growth capital and  €22bn overall with additional activities in private debt and private equity 

Julien deploys Smart City Fund II in China and Asean region which is focused on the digital convergence of smart city sectors: new energy, mobility, industry 4.0, property, deeptech. Smart City II launched in January 2021 with a 1^st closing at €80m and is already supported by 10 corporate and institutional investors in Europe  and Asia. The fund is expected to reach  €200m by the end of 2021.

Lisa Ann Pinkerton is founder of Women In Cleantech & Sustainability, a San Francisco Bay Area group dedicated to the advancement of women in various environmental and technology sectors.  She is also Founder and President of Technica Communications, where she handles marketing, social media, content production and public relations for cleantech and biotech startups.  Additionally, Lisa Ann is Co-Founder and Marketing Chair for the Global Cleantech Cluster Association, an international speaker and moderator and documentary filmmaker.  Lisa Ann is a former award-winning broadcast journalist who reported for National Public Radio, PBS Television, WPXI-NBC, American Public Media, and Free Speech TV.

Yvonne Power is passionate about building a sustainable energy future especially in remote communities and developing nations.

Yvonne is co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Village Energy, a WA born start-up that has developed energy technology that operates at the last mile of the energy grid to deliver cleaner, cheaper and more reliable power.

Yvonne led the development of a highly successful pilot project in Andhra Pradesh, India, with which WA has a sister-state relationship.

Since the pilot, Village Energy has signed agreements across India, Indonesia, Cambodia and Vietnam and has a potential pipeline of millions of customer connections.

Village Energy is backed by a Bill Gates chaired venture capital fund, Breakthrough Energy Ventures, and has been recognized as an APAC25 company and is the 2020 winner of the Australian Technologies Competition in energy.

Yvonne is a mother of three, 2020 40under40 award winner, and formally worked at Horizon Power as Manager Strategy, helping to drive the shift to renewable and distributed energy microgrids.

Dr Shimul Saha (CEO & CTO) has a PhD in electrical engineering with extensive knowledge on microwaves, semiconductors and renewable energy.  He has played a key role in securing grants totalling over £4.0 million.  He leads the IUK project, developing a microgrid  for a remote community (CHT) of Bangladesh to provide 100% green 24/7 electricity.  At SEMWaves, Dr Saha oversees the technical development and progress on a daily basis as well as leads the strategic decision making and future direction of the company.  His responsibilities also include exploring strategic partners and sources of funding.

Nuha is the CEO & co-founder of Canadian based green-tech start-up erthos. Erthos creates plant powered alternatives to traditional plastics. Single use plastics made with erthos solutions are compostable, and compatible with existing plastic technology, making plant powered plastics the natural choice. Nuha founded the company while still completing her degree at the University of Toronto where she specialized in Business & Environmental Economics. Erthos has rapidly scaled up operations in Canada and China to tackle the issue globally. Since establishing in 2018, erthos has attracted over $7M in funding, grown to a team of 20, and plans to launch the first line of plant based plastics in 2021.

Marc Sima

Marc studied International Computer Science (DHBW in Heidenheim, Germany) and International Business & Economics (UvA in Amsterdam, Netherlands)

Marc is a passionate entrepreneur with a focus on leadership, marketing, sales, business development, corporate strategy, communication design and deal architecture for large and/ or complex projects.

Already back in high-school, he was responsible for marketing for the school company that won the school company & entrepreneur championships for Germany to represent Germany on a European level in the finals in Moscow, Russia.

Marc started his own trading company in the UK while still in college and started to work for Avalon Biometrics SL in the homeland security area, serving the most respected government authorities across the globe. He was worldwide marketing & sales manager and involved in business development, product management, channel management and corporate expansion and has been rewarded with equity due to the success he contributed and customers and projects he acquired.

The company became a recognized market leader in end to end fully integrated modular border control systems, automated document verification, biometric visa & live enrolment systems, etc and was acquired by Gemalto as respected market leader in digital security, smartcards, sim cards, passport & id documents, Machine to Machine communications and secure communications amongst others.

In Gemalto Marc was indirect channel manager worldwide handling all business through partners and third parties and Business Development Manager and champion for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Middle East, Nordics, Baltics and certain parts of Africa. He represented the company in conferences and international working groups for defining policies and regulations and best practices for EU-LISA (The European Agency for the operational management of large-scale IT Systems in the area of freedom, security and justice) and FRONTEX.

Marc has acquired and facilitated many multi million USD deals across the world and became investor in several companies and initiatives worldwide in a variety of fields following the acquisition of Avalon, to establish and manage a diversified investment portfolio.

In 2014 he co-founded FUELSAVE GmbH to focus most of his time on cleantech and energy efficiency enhancement venture in a variety of sectors to contribute to a sustainable future and combat climate change / global warming and Air Pollution, leveraging the potential of the teams ideas and innovations.

He seed-funded the risk and venture capital for FUELSAVE to re-define the company, develop its prototypes & zero-series, deploy pilots, test systems and register patents in a variety of sectors, in order to prepare them for commercialization and the subsequent launch and go to market (GTM)

Sandip Singh, CEO -Ishitva Robotic Systems, is driven to solve one of the most pressing global challenges of plastic and dry waste using Industry 4.0 automation tools.  He strongly believes that AI and computer vision can bring affordable and scalable solutions to enable the circular economy of plastic. Prior to Ishitva, Sandip worked as a private equity investor into the environmental and sustainable investments space and his core focus areas were waste recycling and clean energy.  Over the years, he has built a very strong understanding of challenges and problems faced by the sector.  With Ishitva, he aims to provide commercially viable solutions for these challenges using new age technologies. 

Sandip has more than 15 years of experience of working with startups from early stage to growth stage.  Earlier, he conceptualized and founded an ecommerce business in India and also was part of the early team of India’s first Legal Process Outsourcing business.  He has done B. Tech. from IIT Kanpur and MBA from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

Apoorv Sinha

Apoorv is the founder and CEO of a Carbon Capture & Utilization technology start-up, Carbon Upcycling Technologies (CUT), that is commercializing a process to convert CO2 emissions into performance enhancing fillers for concrete, plastics, pharmaceuticals, and batteries. CUT is one of the 10 global finalists in the Carbon X-Prize. CUT was also an Emissions Reduction Alberta (ERA) Grand Challenge Semi-finalist, and has received support from various provincial and federal entities in Canada. In 2017, CUT became the youngest CO2 utilization company to commercialize a product from CO2 emissions, within 2.5 years of founding. 

Apoorv is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Energy awardee (2020), an alumni of the Energy Futures Lab, a 2016 Leading Change delegate, a Clean50 Emerging Leader 2016, and has served on the ACTia (Alberta Cleantech Industrial Alliance) Board of Directors (2017-19). Apoorv is also a 2018 Action Canada Alumni, Canada’s premier youth leadership training program.

Apoorv Sinha also served as the Research Manager for zEroCor Technologies from 2011 to 2015, a Calgary-based oilfield service and technology development firm. As Research Manager, Apoorv manages over 15 active projects for zEroCor Technologies in collaboration with over 10 Universities. 

Apoorv Sinha has a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Georgia Institute of Technology in Chemical engineering (2010). In 2010, Apoorv co-founded TOHL, a humanitarian logistics start-up with headquarters in Atlanta, that has conducted water infrastructure projects in Chile, Kenya, and is expanding operations in Nigeria. TOHL has been featured on BBC, Forbes Magazine, Calgary Herald, and on the Daily Plant on Discovery Channel.

Carbon Upcycling produces novel materials from carbon emissions and is commercializing products for use in the construction and plastics industry. CUT’s first line of commercial products is the AlphaCarbon-100 (AC-100) coating, a corrosion protection solution designed for use in water and wastewater infrastructure such as grease interceptors, manholes, and concrete pipe, and is currently installed in over 80 locations including franchises of McDonald’s, Costco, etc. CUT’s technology includes technically validated applications in the concrete, plastics, solar PV cells, adhesives, batteries, as well as pharmaceutical drug delivery industries. CUT has been recognized as one of the top Solar Impulse Efficient Solutions and is a 2019 Hello Tomorrow Top 500 Finalist.

James has over ten years of experience in the African drinking water products and technology industry and is the co-founder of I-Drop Water, established in 2015. He is a graduate of the University of Cape Town and holds an MBA from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. Prior to his work in drinking water, James worked in renewable energy consulting and strategy consulting in London and Johannesburg. James’ current focus is on innovation through business solutions in the circular economy.

Holly is a Senior Associate leading Resources & Environment research at Cleantech Group and is based in the UK. She is focused on emerging innovation and trends, including those in water, waste, the circular economy, natural resources, and corporate sustainability. ​

Prior to joining Cleantech Group, Holly was a Public Affairs & Communications Executive with the Solar Trade Association and the Association of British Insurers. Before this, Holly worked in advocacy for climate and wildlife charities. ​

Mr Ted Tan is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Singapore, the government agency under the Ministry of Trade and Industry responsible for championing enterprise growth.

Melvyn chaired the Asia Investment Committee where he led the efforts in the formulation of investment philosophies and risk frameworks for the wealth management business. He was also the Co-Chair of the Private Assets Investment Committee for Schroders Wealth Management globally, with responsibilities of evaluating private investment opportunities. Melvyn was the Co-Founder and Chair of Investment Committee at Thirdrock Group, which was the leading Asian independent asset manager, between 2011 and 2019, before the firm was acquired by Schroders. He started his career with Goldman Sachs where he spent 3 years in Singapore managing multi-asset global discretionary portfolios, followed by 8 years in Hong Kong as a leading member of the equity derivatives team with experience across structuring, trading and marketing of derivatives and structured products.

Melvyn currently sit on the board of Sunseap Group and also serves in the Audit and Risk Committee and the Remuneration Committee of the firm. He previously sat on the boards of a few renewables and environmental companies, and Fintech startups in the South East Asia region as he has also been active as an early-stage investor for more than a decade.

He volunteered as a District Councillor since 2014 for 6 years under the Environment Functional Committee with the South West Community Development Council in Singapore. The committee initiates and executes on community projects that brings awareness and engagement of environmental issues to the grassroots.
