Join Richard Youngman, CEO of Cleantech Group, as he welcomes participants to the 20th annual Cleantech Forum Europe. We will set the stage for the rest of the Forum, with the objective that, together, in a community-offsite format, we will explore and share insights across 3 days on these overarching questions:

From Building Ventures to Building New-Look Industries: Who are the Investors and Financiers that Make this Transition Happen?

Pretty much every serious and active venture investor in Europe, be they a venture builder, VC fund, or corporate venture capital, has participated in a Cleantech Forum over the last 20 years. For the scale of transformation implicit in net zero by 2050 to be achieved, however, this theme has to be everyday business in mainstream finance, such that, over the next 5, 10 and 20 years, we see all other investor types in the finance stack play an ever greater part. Our innovation community needs to build these bridges and relationships. We start today by hearing perspectives from a range of such investor types – what they are currently doing, how do they see the path forward and how they believe we get beyond first of a kinds, to multiples of a kind.

  • Participants wishing to cancel their registration must do so in writing via email to forums@cleantech.com; Applicable refunds (or future credits) for participant cancellations are outlined as follows:
    • Cancelations made by August 23 at 5:00 pm ET will receive a 100% refund.
    • Cancelations made between August 24 and September 27 at 5:00 pm ET will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee paid (or 75% can be applied as a credit to a future Cleantech Group event within 12 months of the cancellation date)
    • Cancelations made after September 27 at 5:00 pm ET (including No Show or No Notice), no refund of any sort will be applicable.
  • Changes or Delays to In Person Events:
    • All our events are built with the ability to deliver them, even if we have to convert in-person experiences to virtual ones.
    • If Cleantech Group changes or delays an event that is either wholly or partially in-person, be that due to Covid-19 or some other reason that renders this necessary to ensure the event’s viability and/or participants’ safety, our standard terms and conditions do not oblige Cleantech Group to refund, but to deliver equivalent value. That will be achieved either from a future credit for the full value of what was not delivered (usable within 12 months) or, in the case where an in-person event (be that the whole or part of the overall event) is converted to online, the ticket type will be converted, and the number of tickets will be increased to deliver equivalent value.

Cancellation by Cleantech Group

  • In the unlikely event where Cleantech Group chooses to cancel an event, a full refund would be owed except in the case where an event is cancelled, through no fault of Cleantech Group (e.g. a force majeure event).
  • This is a standard and necessary protection across the event industry (particularly aimed at the situation where a very late cancellation is forced upon the organizer/host at which point all the time and costs for hosting the event have been expended).
