At the 2022 Cleantech Forum San Francisco in Palm Springs, Cleantech Group announced this year’s Global Cleantech 100 Awards for companies outstanding in their fields.
Out of thousands of innovators from across the globe, the Global Cleantech 100 is a list of the most innovative and promising companies that will take us from commitments to actions in our efforts to reach net zero. The annual list contains the private, independent and for-profit companies best positioned to drive the change.
This is the 13th edition of the of the widely respected list and this year’s cohort includes innovators from 20 countries. The sectors covered are: Agriculture & Food, Enabling Technologies, Energy & Power, Materials & Chemicals, Transportation & Logistics and Resources & Environment.
The Selection Process
The Global Cleantech 100 combines Cleantech Group’s research data with qualitative judgements from a 91-member Expert Panel composed of leading investors and executives active in technology and innovation scouting. From pioneers and veterans to new entrants, the Expert Panel broadly represents the global cleantech community and results in a list with a powerful base of respect and support from many important players within the cleantech innovation ecosystem.
The Global Cleantech 100 program continues to be sponsored by Chubb, the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurance company.

- Company of the Year was awarded to companies with the highest ranking in each of three regions.
North America: AMP Robotics, developer of waste sorting AI-guided robotics, computer vision, and deep learning to transform the economics of recycling.
Europe & Israel: Tibber, seller of smart home devices renewable energy through a digital management platform.
Asia Pacific: Relectrify, developer of a cell-level battery management system.

Graduate of the Year via IPO for Energy, Power and Mobility, ChargePoint, provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions.
Graduate of the Year via IPO for Resources & Environment, Li-Cycle provider of lithium resource recovery services and supplier of lithium-ion battery materials.
